Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the provision of stone cleaning, restoration, and related
services by StoneClean Ltd. By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Services

1.1 StoneClean Ltd provides services to clean, restore, and protect a variety of surfaces
including, but not limited to, stone, brick, render, cladding, patios, steps, monuments, and
façades across both modern and historic properties.
1.2 Services will be carried out using a variety of environmentally responsible specialist
cleaning methods and technologies. Each project will be independently assessed to determine
the most suitable method or combination of methods to deliver the best results.
1.3 We reserve the right to modify or substitute methods based on site conditions or safety
requirements.

2. Quotations & Estimates

2.1 All quotes provided are based on information supplied by the client and a site survey if
applicable.
2.2 Quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.
2.3 Any changes in the scope of work may result in an adjustment to the price.

3. Payment Terms

3.1 For domestic projects, a 50% deposit is required on booking, with the remaining 50% due
immediately upon completion of works, either by BACS transfer or debit/credit card payment.
Late payments may incur interest at 2% per month on the outstanding balance.
3.2 For commercial projects, payment terms will be agreed in writing prior to commencement.
Late payments may incur interest at 8% per annum above the Bank of England base rate, in line
with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.
3.3 StoneClean Ltd reserves the right to suspend work until overdue payments are settled.

4. Client Responsibilities

4.1 The client must ensure safe access to the property and disclose any hazards.
4.2 The client is responsible for removing fragile or valuable items from the work area.
4.3 If access to water or an electrical supply is required for the project, provision will be
included within the quote.
4.4 Any delays caused by client actions may affect project timelines and incur additional costs.

5. Cancellations & Rescheduling

5.1 Cancellations must be communicated in writing. Deposits are non-refundable, as they
secure the project date and cover administrative costs. Partial refunds may be offered at
StoneClean Ltd’s discretion if notice is given more than 14 days before the scheduled start date.
5.2 Rescheduling of a project date may be requested in writing. Clients may reschedule once
without additional charge. Any subsequent rescheduling may incur additional costs and will be
subject to StoneClean Ltd’s availability. StoneClean Ltd reserves the right to retain or require a
new deposit for repeated changes.
5.3 StoneClean Ltd reserves the right to reschedule due to weather, safety concerns, or
unforeseen circumstances.

6. Liability & Warranty

6.1 StoneClean Ltd undertakes work with reasonable care and skill, but cannot be held liable for
pre-existing structural weaknesses or underlying damage not visible at the time of survey.
6.2 We are fully insured, but clients must notify us of any existing property concerns before work
begins.
6.3 Cleaning results may vary depending on surface type, age, and condition.

7. Health & Safety

7.1 All work will comply with current health and safety regulations.
7.2 Clients must follow any safety instructions provided by StoneClean Ltd personnel.

8. Environmental Responsibility

8.1 StoneClean Ltd uses eco-friendly cleaning methods and fully biodegradable biocides
wherever possible.
8.2 We cannot accept responsibility for environmental conditions beyond our control.

9. Governing Law

9.1 These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Scotland, UK.
9.2 Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.

10. Acceptance

By engaging StoneClean Ltd, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to
these Terms & Conditions.
